GimmeVinyl 17th Jan 2020		Hmm.. old thread but.. Yeah, seeing as none of the tracks on this LP are Motown, yet it's on the Motown label does make you think.. But! Keep in mind that Christine was a 1958 Plymouth Belvedere (NOT a Fury..) and played music from 1958.. Not even Barrett Strong's "Money" on Tamla would have made it onto the playlist, not being released until August, 1959..

Neil Forbes 24th Sep 2015		Yeah, Phil, but you'd think that Motown would at least try to get a Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross & Supremes or Stevie Wonder track into the mix to justify their issuing this album, surely that wouldn't be too much to ask.

PhilMH ● 24th Sep 2015		RC, The Big Chill DID include at least two Motown hits that I can remember off the top of my head, "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" and "Too Many Fish In the Sea". As for this one, I can only assume that the film studio shopped it around various record companies, and Motown bit.
