"B8" in the matrix shows the month in which the music was transferred from tape to the lacquer: "B" stands for February, and "8" for 1968. So the LP was most probably released in April 1968.
P belongs to the production date, not to the manufacturing date. The Hamburg-Sessions by the Beatles with Tony Sheridan was produced and recorded in 1961. Karussel was originally a swedish record-label, and it came in the late Sixties to Germany as a subsidiary label of the DGG (German Gramophone Company - Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft) with its main label Polydor.
Hi, this record is definitely NOT from 1961, except the content. That Karussel-Pressings were avaiable around 1968. Just check the matrix-number with the date in the deadwax.
