| | As I have seen in other indexing, the title as given on the label is usually the one used. It looks like the actual title "If Not for You" is not actually on the label, just "Olivia Newton-John". Should that be indexed as the title for this release instead (obviously linked to later issues that use "If Not For You")? I see the Pye issue in the UK does this too. German Polydor uses the If Not for You title on the label. |

| | I have this on a download of the LP (73117) and it is predominantly sung as "If You Could Read My Mind" at the 49 second mark she sings "If I Could Read Your Mind" - just the once. Lyrics otherwise are pretty much same as the original Lightfoot version. So I don't think it's a misprint. |

| | (images of this label and of this view of the cover are easily found upon some site or other up on the 'net somewhere.)
(- it'd be nice to hear from somecatter as actually possesses the uni 73117 lp, as to how & what it in fact plays for this track.)

"if i could read your mind" (3:41) (lightfoot) " - uni stereo 73117 (back of lp sleeve). |

| | I think fears of paternalist conspiracy are unfounded. It looks as if the wrong title was entered here by mistake. Both label and sleeve list the track as "If you could read my mind", as per the UK release and the first few seconds of the track if listened to (easily located on Youtube). |

| | does anycatter out there know - or is able to check - whether the song lyrics actually sung by olivia newton-john on track b4 are altered from those gordon lightfoot wrote, to "if i could read your mind" and if so, whether the alterations go any further than this? |

| | track b4 is actually "if i could read your mind", an accidental or deliberate retitling of gordon lightfoot's classic "if you could read my mind" - possibly (& ill-advisédly) to make it "fit" being sung by a woman. . . |
