confranfan SUBS 3rd Jun 2017		During her 1955-1969 period with MGM Records, Connie Francis recorded an album of old time favorites under a special sponsorship arrangement with the Brylcream men's hairdressing company. The package was released on the Mati-Mor Supercords label, a division of General Harmonics & Video Corp. A3: MY WILD IRISH ROSE is the sing-a-long version. It is a different recording to that included on MGM E/SE CONNIE FRANCIS SINGS IRISH FAVORITES which was recorded on January 26th, 1962. All of the songs on this album were cut on 8-12 August, 1961 with the Cliff Parman Orchestra and the Jordanaires, during a solid week of Nashville sessions which also produced the MGM albums E/SE 3969 FOLK SONG FAVORITES and E/SE 3965 NEVER ON SUNDAY and single MGM K 13039 (He's My) Dreamboat bw Hollywood. Record labels credit the full title as BRYCREAM PRESENTS "SING ALONG WITH CONNIE FRANCIS AND THE JORDANAIRES".
