mleg56 8th Aug 2024		notes: The Mar-Keys, formed in 1958, were an American studio session band for Stax Records, in Memphis, Tennessee, in the 1960s. As the first house band for the label, their backing music formed the foundation for the early 1960s Stax sound credits: Wayne Jackson (trumpet) Charles Axton (tenor saxophone) Don Nix (baritone saxophone) Marvell Thomas (piano) Booker T. Jones (organ) Steve Cropper (guitar) Donald "Duck" Dunn (electric bass) Terry Johnson (drums) Supervised By – Chips Moman Memphis, TN, 1962
