Added second packaging (reissue?) with larger red Billingsgate logo on both front and back of cover and also lacks the gatefold of the original. The label also sports a red hue on one side instead of the usual black of most Billingsgate releases.
Added sticker from the front of original gatefold version with reviewers comments. Both versions also list release date in U.S. as May 1973, so that will need to be adjusted.
New Lucifer's Friend album just came out and includes three of the five original members (Lawton, Hesslein and Horns). Just ordered the CD titled "Too Late To Hate"
Added front cover, back cover and gatefold images. This first Lucifer's Friend LP also introduced the best band mascot to grace a series of album covers (in my opinion).
Unlike the original 1971 U.K. release, this has a gatefold cover. IMHO, one of the finest hard rock albums released in the early 1970's. Lucifer's Friend was a fantastic band, always interesting to see how they would transform. From hard rock to heavy metal, from jazz rock to progressive elements to pop, they were quite eclectic, which was perhaps their albatross around the neck from achieving huge stardom. They did persevere and produced nine albums during their recording career. Their main vocalist, John Lawton, was superb ( a two album stretch was filled by Mike Starrs from Colosseum II).
