I guess all this would make sense when you realize that producer Carl Davis was also the producer of Jackie Wilson's 1967 hit of "Higher And Higher" and that composer Eugene Record was a member of The Chi-Lites.

Born as Fausta Dana Galli, her family emigrated to South Africa when she was very young. She had released ten LP's in South Africa before having a U.S. release. She is the younger (much) of Sergio Franchi.

Indeed, with all this recycling going on, it sounded on the face of it like Brunswick was little more than a glorified "song-poem" label of the type that the Rodd Keiths and Sammy Marshalls of the world recorded for. Ms. Valery herself, meanwhile, was known more for her TV appearances - notably as a frequent panelist on the 1968-75 syndicated version of What's My Line? - than for her singing, by this point, given how this LP apparently vanished without a trace.

Sounds like you are correct W.B. lbl .. much recycling seems to be going on here, her version of "Love Is Funny That Way" uses the same backing track as Jackie Wilson's version and "Have You seen Him" sounds like it uses the music used on The Chi-Lites "Have You Seen Her".

From what I've heard, A1 employs the exact same instrumental track as Jackie Wilson's definitive 1967 version.
