This LP was first released in Germany in 1980 as "Skinningrove Bay" by Jack Lancaster. Subsequently it was reissued several times with various titles "Wild Connection", "Wild Connections" and "Deep Green" in several countries. There are variances in the running order of the tracks on these various releases.

"The record company, Acrobat Records, went bankrupt before the album was completed, and the tapes ended up in the hands of a company who just flat out exploited every aspect of it. They own it, so there is nothing I can do about it. As a footnote, I haven’t received any payment during its release in all those dreadful forms… as far as I’m concerned, they are all bootlegs."
