Madame Streggae 27th Oct 2021		Also issued on the other budget label Windmill but which one came first?? Discogs shows the Windmill as the reissue, which may be the case. I'm inclined to think though that the Deacon was the reissue unless anyone believes differently. As for the album, aside from 'Moon Hop' it isn't the usual set of cover versions of the latest Reggae hits but something much more bespoke. 'Farewell To My Baby' is actually 'Farewell My Darling', a Sam Cooke original covered in Reggae the previous year by Eugene Paul. Otherwise, 'South Sea' uses the same melody as Tiger's 'Guilty' and has some nice DJ interjections. The group were otherwise known as the Jamaican Jubilee Stompers.
