| | Labels of first issue without group credit on the labels uploaded.Has the same sleeve as uploaded by Tony with the all black text.
To replace the 1205509 image, here's the full rear cover from the late 1969 issue as well. |

| | At long last I'm now a proud owner of a very early edition that lacks the group credit on the labels. Same black titled sleeve as uploaded by Tony. I'll upload the labels in due course.
What's interesting is it has the same 2W/2W as my late 1969 mono pressing! |

| | Very interesting Tony. Did the red label copy accompany the early sleeve?
Interesting to note, not only the stereo colour was used, but the track and publishing info is the same as on the first issue but with the group credited. |

| | Added my 2W/2W Mono with Small black text "The Moody Blues" cover.
The rear cover omits "Time To Get Away" and, the poem has "And we decide which ONE is right".
The disc has inverted matrices on the labels |

| | It's identical to the original stereo mix to these ears apart from obviously being in mono. I had no idea later stereo vinyl copies had the re-mixed "Twilight Time" having only heard this on CD. I agree the original is better, sounds just as good in mono.
The fairly recent CD release which reverted to the original banded sleeve has the original stereo mix of "Twilight Time" as one of the bonus tracks. |

| | Curious to see and learn this album did get a mono release since Decca/Deram and the band themselves have all pointed out this was pretty much conceived for the DSS stereo concept and Tony Clarke spent much time ensuring it would be a good sounding stereo album.
The inevitable question is, is this a dedicated mono mix or is it simply a fold down of the original - and best - stereo mix? AFAIK all the CD versions of the album feature a remix that was done in the late 70's created apparently due to the master tape being worn out though I have read a few tracks have appeared on compilations in their original mixes. It's the stereo vinyl rip of the original mix that always gets played here... the remix "Twilight Time" just sounds "wrong" with the backing vocals throughout the entire song whereas the original mix used them more sparefully. |

| | My copy has a full sized label though the matrix number on the labels being the right way up suggests a late 1969 pressing. The sleeve, however is a standard MONO one and not the "RED-MONO, BLUE-STEREO" hole type. |
