anything with links to Russia or Ukraine has got to be a bootleg/pirate, record shops are full of pirate releases from there.

Apple issued two of the Lennon-McCartney originals on Anthology 1. Therefore they are covered by copyright protection until about 2045.

To Trainman: THIS is the album of the 15-song audition tape made for Decca on 1/1/62, not the "First Movement" album. This was originally released years ago (with the same front/back covers) on the Circuit label. On that issue, the sound quality was good, but all the songs ran slightly too fast. I don't know if that's been corrected on this release. I also don't know if this is an actual legit issue or not, maybe someone can clarify...

This isn't a bootleg technically. It is part of the 50 year ruling I think.

Carryonsidney has provided a link to the website of the parent company of Doxy. This can also be found in the biography of the Doxy label that I created when I entered this release.

The CD does not provide any additional information so is of no help.

No answer to my e-mail from the company. Whatever happened to customer service?

The Lennon/McCartney compositions would get performance royalties if sung by others - I think that is for life + 50 years ( as indeed the copyright holders of the other songs listed. Does the CD give a licenced from for the mechanical copyright , which may be for some reason omitted from the LP copy ?

My spell check tells me Laquers per rear cover , should be spelled Lacqures. (and the mastering company seem not to advertise their presence on the net however spelled )

I might be wrong, but I think the 50 year rule applied from when the recordings were first (legally) released, in this case in the early 1980s. They wouldn't have fallen out of copyright until 2030-odd.

Maybe another case of Copyright lapse?

I don't know. Maybe. I've written to the Company for more info.

This has to be a bootleg, doesn't it? Apple own rights to the three Lennon/McCartney composed recordings - if not all of them!
