 With acknowledgement to TheDroid for a great summary about the cover, I tried to capture a clearer image of Crabby and added the insert that slid from the top.

 The album jacket opens at the top. Crabby Appleton got their name from a cartoon character that appeared on the Tom Terrific series shown on Captain Kangaroo. It was produced by Terrytoon Studios and the character Crabby Appleton had a motto: "I'm rotten to the core!" The Crabby Appleton character is embossed on the front cover lower left holding the Elektra "E" in his hand. He can also be partially seen on the back cover holding the "E" on the right side of the brick wall.
