OldMod67 8th Mar 2015		I may have missed something here, but I picked up my Hardbound copy still new in late 1983/early 1984; my mate Paul already had it in a gate-fold glossy white cover with titles in (if I recall correctly) a royal blue colour..



janiejjones ● 4th Jun 2014		I believe these were all done at exactly the same time. They just took a couple of crates of standard issues and had them "cloth-bound" at the bookbinders, the paperwork for both looks identical. When my dealer showed it to me back in 81, and told me the price difference, I was quite happy to stick with the standard issue. BTW, who is correct about the release date, we or them? (discogs, that is: 1st Aug against 8th Oct)

janiejjones ● 28th May 2014		From the pic count, and the fact that the other entry has already 5 owners, I think Paul applied "discogs" uniqueness here. In our worlds-world, this would be a duplicate with different packaging style, but cat#s are identical, so one entry only. The version linked by nboldock still has no pictures, but it should be the "plain" gatefold. I suggest a merge, as the inner sleeves and records should be identical. I tried to describe that package in my comment there.
