OldMod67 7th Sep 2024		@JohhnyCool: Yeah, like the Merton Parkas 12" that surfaced with singles tracks. I seem to remember they were described as mini albums, maybe due to the number of tracks... I'm glad this is coming out, but hoped there would be a mono of the expanded edition. I did look for the mono when the original came out, but saw nothing that it was cancelled. It wasn't until 2019 when Anthony showed me the cover of the upcoming expanded edition that I mentioned not finding a mono; he said then that it didn't make it to release. He did say how good it sounded though, so can't wait to here it properly. I did suggest a mono EP too, bearing in mind the mixes he's sitting on, which would be a nice edition to the Squire catalogue.



JohnnyCool 7th Sep 2024		Great news about the mono release, as you say, better late than never! Personally, I've always thought of this (and the Beat Direction release) as 12* EPs, simply due to the 'HI' catalogue number (rather than the 'LO' album sequence). Anyhow, pre-ordered the mono mix. Quite limited too.



OldMod67 7th Sep 2024		Anthony Meynell has announced that the Mono version is due out later this month (27th) 40 years after it was announced, but better late than never!



OldMod67 11th Sep 2021		Further to my comment in July 2020 regarding the unissued mono edition, the mono mix of the title track has now been posted on YouTube.

OldMod67 28th Jul 2020		Please note, I've entered this as an LP, not a 12" single, despite its playing speed. This along with the Hi-Lo release Beat Direction - Long Distance Beat were described and reviewed as 'mini albums' on release. Obviously this can be changed if 12" single is preferred media. The rear of sleeve lists 'Also available in mono (HIM 005)'' Unfortunately, this is not the case. I only saw the stereo at the time of release. Anthony Meynell confirmed last year that the mono never made it to release.
