Sorry for the late response in regards to this being true stereo or not. I can confirm the Canadian stereo pressing uses true stereo tracks. Not sure for UK stereo, but hopefully that helps answer your question.
I have the original pink "Bullseye" label mono issue ILP 970. I'll dig it out for uploading in due course.
Probably also relevant to this album is "Gimme Some Lovin'" differs from the original 45 in having backing vocals.
Much prefer the original 45 issued version.
P.S. copy in Discogs has older pink Island label with the bullseye, so would appear to be the original 1967 stereo issue, but no indication of whether or not it is true stereo. I note that the group photo on the back cover is much better quality than the same photo used on the 1990s Island Masters CD issue, where it looks like a photocopy.
Hi Louis, the catalogue number prefix implies that this is stereo, I am just wondering whether it actually is, or electronic stereo, or good old mono? Thanks.
