ReviewIn 1974 Iggy advertised his suicide twice on stage but had no takers. Later on in '74 (again) recording w/ Bowie came to nothing. Drug abuse was wild. Bowie gifted him 'Sell Your Love' and he later put on this LP. In 1975 Iggy was broke and in a terrible state. Last straw was getting a job knock back from a McDonalds in L.A. Drug fuelled afternoons took their toll. Finally he checked himself into a mental home for his own good will. To get away from everything and Bowie. Bowie came to visit him with a shopping bag of drugs and pills, which luckily was caught, cause Iggy was dropping anything without even questioning. Anyone around Iggy at the time states that he should have died that year. A year later he and Bowie were staying w/ Tangerine Dream's Edgar Froese in Berlin to get clean. That's another story.
That's a brief history of this LP. It's about as truthful an LP as you can get. All content. No filler.
Saw this sitting here with no pics so added cover, back cover, labels and green vinyl shot. A great looking album with some good songs (about 50/50) but the mix lets it down a bit and the weaker material makes it drag a bit particularly towards the end of the second side. But with Iggy as always the good 50% is really, really good.
