Notes

Adrian Belew (Frank Zappa, David Bowie, Talking Heads, King Crimson, solo artist) had been friends with members of Cincinnati group The Raisins - Rob Fetters, Bob Nyswonger & Chris Arduser, since 1976. They made plans to play together at some point; their opportunity came in 1983. Belew joined the band and they were renamed The Bears. This, their first album, appeared in 1987. They made one further album in 1988, and disbanded until reforming in 2001 for a studio album, a live album in 2002 and a fourth studio album in 2007. In between stints as The Bears, the other three members have performed and recorded as The Psychodots since 1991.
