W.B.lbl 30th Aug 2017		There is yet another variant, the typesetting along the lines of {Images #452055 & 452056}, but the artist name is slightly larger and the LP title is wrapped in two lines (but differently from {Images #1439606 & 1439607}) - it can be seen here.



Bgray1 30th Aug 2017		Added an alternate back cover with song titles in smaller print and "Darkness on the Edge of Town" on two lines. Added a set of label variant images.



78rpm-maniac 2nd Sep 2013		To all Springsteen and Pic-Disc collectionist: A Darkness on the edge of town Pic-Disc fake makes the round. The first track on side A doesn´t Play in a correct way. That´s the only way to recognize it.



YankeeDisc SUBS ● 2nd Sep 2013		I still have this as a Columbia promo (sent for free), with the gold embossed printing on the sleeve, but I also was sent as a freebie by my US rack-jobber, the rare picture disc version, which I sold to a member of a record store for the standard price of a wholesale LP I was selling at the time, about £3.00, in 1978. He was a Springsteen freak, and I was altruistic. The store was Manzi Records in St. John's Wood, London, just opposite the then active John Lewis Partnership store, "John Barnes". ....I wonder what that pic. disc would be worth today...... A copy is bound to turn up on this site , eventually.
