Karussell Label

Karussell, on which Phonogram Recordings Pty Ltd had locally pressed the German catalog entry 535 004 SCHLAGERERINNERUNGEN MIT CONNIE FRANCIS, was revived by the newly-named company with its fresh label design.

Same content and album artwork as USA METRO MS 603 THE INCOMPARABLE CONNIE FRANCIS.

The above album was assigned the Polydor International number 2350 006.

Fokeman 23rd Feb 2023		MS 603 is not an alternative Australian Catalogue number. It was the catalogue number when the record was issued in New Zealand. The sleeve clearly states that this is the Australian issue and the Australian catalogue number is K 104, as it says on the label.
confranfan 11th Jun 2017		Both Australia and New Zealand used the Karussell label for the release of budget editions of Connie Francis US LP compilations. In New Zealand, THE INCOMPARABLE CONNIE FRANCIS retained the original MS 603 catalog number assigned to its stateside Metro label release, and features liner and labels advising of its KARUSSELL K 104 number in Australia. CONNIE FRANCIS & THE KIDS NEXT DOOR has the New Zealand number of KARUSSELL CP 219, with liner and labels similarly advising of the KARUSSELL K 111 Australian counterpart. A third New Zealand release, KARUSSELL CP 254, however, provides erroneous label references to it being issued on KARUSSELL K 104 in Australia - the number already assigned to THE INCOMPARABLE CONNIE FRANCIS. There is no evidence to suggest that MOVIE GREATS OF THE 60s has been issued on the Karussell label in Australia.
