ppint. 10th Aug 2017		the original credit/s for "funiculì, funiculà", the track b3 song, on all versions so far 33⅓catted, are incorrect - there is no dispute the song was written by luigi denza (music) and pepponi turco (lyrics), though some "translations" into english pay scant regard to the original lyrics presented to denza by turco (possibly as a joke°) for a song to commemorate the opening of the first funicular railway in italy, provided for tourists and other sightseers to view the then very recently active volcano, vesuvius. . . ° - but, if so, it resulted in one of the most spectacularly lucrative jokes recorded. . .
