| | Apparently, there's supposed to be one of each which were pressed by an employee as keepsakes. So they were never officially released under this cat# in any form. As we don't have an option to use a term like unofficial we have to call everything unofficial a bootleg. The word to me is interchangeable with unofficial but some people seem to think it implies far more sinister activities.
Now as bootlegging goes I'd say this really is the mildest of misdemeanors and is certainly nothing like running a sweatshop in Indonesia pumping out the No.1 albums of the day. However, they are both unsanctioned use of a copyrighted product.
As for the colours, they were previously used in 1979 on this release. Maybe we could relabel these images Unofficial One Off Factory Pressing and leave them here? |

| | Yeah, bootleg doesn't sit comfortably with me either, as they were pressed on the official licensee's premises (and I suspect that a bit of a** covering was going on - how did the employee(s) manage to press several copies on two different colours if Festival didn't already have stocks of coloured vinyl pellets? I can't think of any other coloured vinyl releases from Festival in this period, but please educate me if necessary). Rather than deleting the images, or moving them to another entry, just hide them. |

| | I question the bootleg status of this, if it came from the official factory, albeit "unofficially" pressed...
(Snuck out the back door by cheeky employee etc.)
...As bootleg seems to imply an entirely separate entity replicating official issues for reasons of profit, and thereby stealing from the copyright holder / label of origin, the profits which would otherwise would have been rightfully theirs.
If this is extremely rare, where only a couple or a handful exist, this would seem to lend credence to the idea that it was a one time -off the books sneaky press by insider, for their own use, as opposed to a boot, as any bootleg enterprise isn't going to make only a couple, or even a few if there's no possibility of any wedge at the end of it, due to lack of numbers, surely? |

| | PhilMH I agree that this entry is correct for the official black vinyl release and should stay but the images here do not match and should be removed. A separate entry needs to be created for the bootleg images with the pirate flag label to confirm the status of the images currently and incorrectly attributed to this entry. |

PhilMH 30th Aug 2024
| | L36694 is the catalogue number for the official black vinyl version, so we can keep this entry current without the bootleg designation for anyone who does have the official release. |

| | Both of the discs on display here are unofficial releases of the Australian issue of this album. The details as listed on the page are correct for the official black vinyl release but these one off factory pressings were never available commercially. The blue album pictured on this page is not for sale on Discogs. The yellow vinyl is also unofficial. Quite interesting as versions of this album go but they are not official and need to be listed as bootlegs. |

| | This is a duplicate entry and needs to be merged. Different colour vinyl is not enough to require separate releases. See this release for an example of how to post these types of albums. |
