A promo single from this album (q.v.) was dated 1965, so presumably this album came out then. As noted, most of the tracks are tunes inspired by the Fleming novels, in some cases predating the movie themes by decades! Check out the one song actually credited to "James (Jimmy) Bond". I assume that's a pseudonym!

Hi George, the stereo version of this (BN 26151) was reviewed in Billboard, 8 May 1965! The tunes here not written by John Barry or Monte Norman are original compositions based on the Bond books that had not yet been filmed, so are entirely different to the well-known themes for "Moonraker", "For Your Eyes Only", "The Spy Who Loved Me" etc.

This was sometime after 1979, considering Moonraker. Dates on the web are wrong. Can anyone tell from the label number?
