| | Add label image of my copy I didn't know I had until I decided to list an album I had call Rock Island Line with Johnny Cash and Jeannie C. Riley. When I removed the record from the cover it was this one instead. I guess I never really looked when I bought it. |

| | I didn't realise there were colour differences in various issues, however I'm pleased to say mine has the light blue background. |

| | Yes, the earlier issues had a darker cover, with the background a light blue. Later pressings (such as the one shown) were more washed out. The original configurations of the Sun LP's stayed in print until 1968, when Sam Phillips decided to sell the label, but you could still find new copies of these in the record store bins until the early '70s. Also, the older covers were of a thicker stock. |

| | I´m of the opinion, that the original 1957 release had a light-blue Background on the cover and not a White Background. |

| | Original Sun releases stayed in print until 1968, when Sam Phillips sold the label to Shelby Singleton. After that, all Sun releases were completely re-configured, new LP's, catalog numbers, artwork, etc. |

| | No Johnny Cash Sun-era recordings are in true stereo. Sam Phillips did not have stereo capabilities until he built his 2nd studio at 639 Madison, which was long after Cash had left the label. |

| | Thanks for the update. Was not aware of reissues |

| | This sleeve is not the 57 variety,[excuse the gag, it was totally unintended, but I thought I'd leave it in for a laugh !] it's probably from 69/70 ish. All of Johnny's Sun albums were reissued in so called stereo. I have a couple, but they are thankfully still in mono, despite what the sleeve indicates. Dunno about this one, as mine is a 57 issue with no stereo at the top left. Also the number system changed, LP 1220 on original pressings, became SLP 1220 on repressings. Then later on these 'stereo' issues. |

| | My copy indicates "stereo" , on careful listening 6 of the tracks do indeed seem to be true stereo. Rick Island Line, I Heard That Lonesome Whistle, So Doggone Lonesome, I walk the Line, Wreck of the Old 97 and Folsom Prison Blues.
Record does not appear to be a bootleg. |
