yr hmbl srppnt.'d be delighted to hear news of, and experience (at least once), audible music written by non-human persons whether little green men/women/other from mars or treens (or theorons) from venus, small blue spheroids from the vicinity of betelgeuse, the silicon mass from the flame belt, or even (?especially?) a black cloud, in the best fred hoylean tradition; so far, however - and alas! - no strictly solely legal person, not being composed of at least three or more actual human persons acting as a partnership, company (whether incorporated with limited liability or no), or society (including, but not restricted to, friendly and provident societies) (and again, whether with limited liability or no), has yet been proven nor demonstrated to be capable of accomplishing the feat of artistic creation, including that of songwriting.°
- the person known as "chuck berry" either did, or did not, write these songs; the fictional creation and strictly legal entity, "chuck berry music, inc.", definitely did not: it is unnecessarily complicating and complexifictory to have the composition of chuck berry's - or any one else's - songs attributed in 45worlds' database to a legal entity that could not possibly have composed them.
° - whether a strictly non-organic, part-organic or wholly organic being created ab initio by one or more persons, other than in the way(s) and manner(s) normal to their species or one based upon the reproductive process normal to them, may yet be proven or demonstrated to be so capable, whilst undeniably interesting, is not relevant to decisions regarding matters accomplished prior to such proofs being provided and accepted.
It doesn't matter if the composer is not a person or is similar to a publisher credit, it's what the labels say that counts as per 45CatWorld guidelines. A lot of Chuck Berry releases are presented with this writer credit and since a corp. is a "natural person," what's to estop a writer credit being legally assigned to it?
