PhilMH SUBS 22nd May 2017
| | Couldn't/shouldn't the date stay as is because the catalogue number is the same as the 1971 NZ original, even though the front cover is different?
Me a Mod? That could be dangerous! Nah, I've got enough on my plate already (and I've had an email tonight asking when I'm going to upload some more Platterlogs and link them into 45Spaces, so I need to get back to that soon). |

Lee Wrecker 22nd May 2017
| | That would be exactly when I bought it Phil and this and a number of Lou Reed releases made their way over the Tasman as well that I know of. Should we change the date to 1978. Are you a MOD yet? Nearly, everyone else I know on here has turned into one. Just checked and you're not well I'll send a correction on the date because this would have been the first of its kind in spite of matching cat#s. |

PhilMH SUBS 22nd May 2017
| | Lee's copy here appears to date from August 1978 (see code on back cover). The original NZ issue with the same catalogue number was distributed by Pye (RCA Ltd wasn't established in NZ until 1975) and used the back cover artwork for the front cover as well; copy is in Discogs. |

| | may have a answer to zabadak here:
Originally this LP came with a lyric sheet, but this was dropped in later RCA reissues.
There are variations in the typeface and font colour of the title, e.g.
in Australia (RCA LSP 4623; yellow),
Canada (RCA SF 8244; black)
and Germany (RCA LSP-4623; white).
On the US edition (RCA LSP 4623) these were absent altogether, as both were printed on a sticker on the shrinkwrap.
Released in Spain as A Pedir De Boca, with different artwork on the back (blue and set in typeface rather than handwritten).
Initial pressings in New Zealand came with the artwork intended for the back on both the front and reverse of the album sleeve.
Released as a picture disc (RCA BOPIC 2) in 1984.
The 1990 Rykodisc 2LP (RALP 0133-2)/EMI LP (EMC 3572) came with bonus tracks; both editions dropped the album title from the front sleeve.
Reissued in 1997 as EMI 7243 8 21449 1 5 in the EMI 100 series.
The last edition on vinyl dates from 2001: the 1999 remaster on EMI/Simply Vinyl (SVLP 265).

| | Why does this (and my 80s US reissue) have no writing on the front cover of the sleeve, anyone? |
