| | Well you win some fans, you lose some I suppose.
... Otherwise you're static, and therefore the clock is ticking on your career (AhemColdplayAhem).
It seems Mr Bowie has been losing you (A-ha song!), and may have just finally gained me as more than just a casual Bowie pop-chart fan.
If you want to send all you Bowie allbums to me Monolith, this charitable foundation (You won't get a bean out of me!!!!) will gratefully receive them :) |

Monolith 13th Jun 2015
| | Well i heard Ziggy in 1973 and fell in love with it, added Hunky Dory and the other albums available the time and so on.
Delved into Space Oddity, Man Who Sold The World (didn't like either) and the "Love You Till Tuesday/Little Bombardier" stuff which I did like. Diamond Dogs came out and that was the last I can honestly say I got into.
That would have been 1974, Young Americans was next and that was the beginning of the end for me, he was losing me fast, Low I think was the final straw, but I keep kidding myself right up to and including Let's Dance.
That as they say was that. |

| | I suppose it depends on what you're expectations of David Bowie are, and whether you buy into that or not...
I can take him or leave him, but had I known about this, maybe I'd have delved further. |

Monolith 13th Jun 2015
| | Apart from Space Oddity and Janine I'm afraid this left me cold.
Ziggy Stardust
Aladdin Sane
Diamond Dogs
Pin-Ups
Hunky Dory
Those 5 are all I need, apart from the odd song here or there, they'll do me. |

Magic Marmalade 13th Jun 2015
| | Been listening to this for the last two hours (Never heard it before - other than Space Oddity track of course), it may immediately be my favourite Bowie album... never really overly struck on his music except a few tunes here and there.
...But this is great.
(Better than Ziggy - GASP!!!!) |

Magic Marmalade 13th Jun 2015
| | ...One other thing:
The sleeve seems to be of U.S stock, as part of the address is blacked out bottom right after the N.Y address, but the Canada patent number runs down the edge next to it.
(and the other distinguishing feature is the: "Litho In Canada" text on the spine) |

Magic Marmalade 13th Jun 2015
| | Added cover and label scans.
I know the dynaflex pressings are generally loathed (It is a little floppy under even it's own weight when holding it in the inner sleeve), but it sounds great!
Couple of other things to mention:
The only markings in the dead wax are the matrix numbers:
Side 1: BPRS-4501 (scratched), and GT (scratched)
Side 2: BPRS 4502 (scratched), and T6 (scratched).
And that the timings listed on the back cover are a little off on a couple of tracks:
(Actual)
1: 5:08 (-7)
2: 6:02 (-53)
4: 9:24 (-9) |
