Notes

Soundalike cover versions - a B.W.D. Production.

Issued with two different covers, showing different retail prices incorporated into the artwork.

LP is persistently and wrongly rumoured to feature David Bowie on vocals, on the track "Penny Lane". In fact, it's session singer, Tony Steven. Many of these recordings had been released elsewhere by the time the LP appeared.

I suspect it will be a retailers. The mother-in-law could never resist a bargain (rather than thinking what is the true worth of this ?) And I think it was a family from new one rather than a bulk charity incoming pile one.

Is it a manufacturer's sticker, or one put on by the retailer? If the former, I catalogue these variants, so would be interested to see an image.

My copy has a sticker on front sleeve at 11/- written. So 12/6 was too expensive for a budget sale in 1967 !
