ZebedyZak 23rd Jan 2018		This was the first LP I bought, at the age of 11 in 1973. I got it from Woolies in Chester for just 49 pence. I quickly discovered that, apart from the opening track "Ride A White Swan" (which I already had on a single), the rest of the album was remarkably different from the band's hit singles like "20th Century Boy", but no less enjoyable. After a few years, I discovered that most of the tracks dated back to the Tyrannosaurus Rex days, and only "Ride A White Swan" had been previously released in their second incarnation as T. Rex. I continued to play the album regularly before I bought other T. Rex albums and I always enjoyed listening to it. Out of the older tracks, the album closer "Elemental Child" is the most electric and decidedly different from the rest of the Tyrannosaurus Rex material, yet it is still different from the hit singles. But being different doesn't make it worse, and it is easily as good as the more commercial T. Rex releases. In short, I made a good choice when I bought this LP.



hiwatt1973 8th Mar 2014		More than One printer may have been used for the covers? My Purple textured cover was printed by Garrod & Lofthouse International Ltd. At some point a decision must have been made to print the rear cover Mono. Is the White cover textured? Great to see the variations!



harry1958 3rd Mar 2014		Well I think the Logic says that mine is a third press and yourself and hiwatt1973 have 1st and 2nd presses goes to show that with this site what you can find out.



harry1958 2nd Mar 2014		So my matrix is SFMP 5274 A-3 and SFMP 5274 B-1 does that mean a 3rd issue then.



hiwatt1973 23rd Feb 2014		I have added the Purple rear cover. The Matrix of the record in the Purple cover is Stamped SFMP 5274 A-1, SFMP 5274 B-1 The White rear cover must be from a later pressing.



hiwatt1973 21st Feb 2014		My rear cover is Purple just like the front cover, I will upload tomorrow. I thought they were all Purple?
