Notes

Did not chart in Zimbabwe. In South Africa on the MUTE label with same catalogue number it charted on 15 October 1987 with a #6 peak. The UK chart entry date was only 5 days prior. Gallo record company in Zimbabwe must have been using up old available labels from its stable as was the case with a Pink Floyd album released at about the same time. I acquired this disc on 07 Sept 2015, it came without the original cover which apparently had been eaten by rats whilst in storage and thrown away (a not uncommon scenario in Africa it seems ...).

kimbozw 24th Mar 2022		Perhaps they ran out of the normal labels temporarily and adopted the "waste not want not" mentality, using up whatever was available, regardless.

kimbozw 9th Sep 2015		Global pop chart peaks for this album: #2 - Germany #4 - Switzerland, Sweden, Finland #6 - South Africa #7 - France #10 - UK #35 - USA (Billboard) #37 - Holland #60 - Australia. Nobody more representative of the wonderful MOTOWN sound than Depeche Mode, bien sur ... :-)
