PHILIPS COLOMBIANA S.A. release
MGM label

Philips Colombiana SA locally manufactured a range of mono and stereo albums based on USA MGM E/SE series catalog numbers. These were issued on a blue label with silver/grey-white lettering, similar to the BLACK/MULTI variety in design. Philips' lists suggest that not all were made available in stereo. Details of some releases were provided by Philips, who may have supplied English album titles instead of Spanish. From this list, it would appear that Philips commenced manufacture and distribution of MGM product in 1963, with the initial two items being reissues of albums marketed by an earlier distributor: the first confirmed as having been formerly released by Discos Fuentes.

There is much left to speculation as to her overall Colombian catalog. I have set out those albums that I currently have in my own personal collection and will add and would welcome additions as they become available.

confranfan SUBS 17th Jul 2017		Same content and album cover as USA LP MGM E 3853 CONNIE FRANCIS SINGS SPANISH & LATIN AMERICAN FAVORITES but given a Spanish title on liner.
