Added a second back cover version with red printing for artists, EMI logo in bottom left, catalog # on top right and "7904 TM Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd." printed on bottom right. Labels look exactly the same. Perhaps this is an export pressing, or later issue?
Well, RC, you know what you've done.... blasted my theory to smitherines(cue: sound of loud explosion - ker-boom... not loud enough! Need it LOUDER!.... Ker-BOOOOOM!!! - that's better!).
Hi, TP! I don't think it's the one you suggest, I think I read about it once in a British magazine called... wait for it... Record Collector! The album had the title as per this issue but, I vaguely recall different artwork. And RC, look in that book, and see if the artwork(if depicted) is the same as this one, or if it's different, if you could, please? This might confirm my theory... or blow it to smitherines!
There was an album called "The Stars Sing Lennon and McCartney", on mfp, in 1971. It contained nine of the above, plus a few bog-standard cover versions. I think that's the one you have in mind?
