Tom Trefethen is a successful recording engineer, receiving three grammy nominations for his work. He engineered the first three Ambrosia LP's and The Alan Parsons Project first release Tales Of Mystery And Imagination, among others. In the late 70's he worked with Michael Nesmith, engineering one of most successful solo albums Infinite Rider On The Big Dogma. This association led to him releasing his own solo album.

Due to his relationship with these artists, several appear on this album. The entire original line-up of Ambrosia (Joe Puerta, Burleigh Drummond, David Pack and Christopher North), Andre Crouch, Alan Parsons and Jim Keltner are among those to appear.

He is also known for writing and releasing the internet only single "Johnny's Gone Away" in late 2005. Trefethen performed the song, written in 1980 after the death of John Lennon, at the 25th annual Lennon candlelight vigil in Hollywood. He has continued to write, produce and record additional John Lennon related tributes at his Remora Studios. If you have never heard these, they are quite unusual and can be found at http://www.remorarevue.com/remora_records.html.
