Available through Practical Hi-Fi, and Hi-Fi Today magazines. Pressings using the master tapes, and superior laquers from I.C.I.

This version has a Hi-Fi Today/ Nimbus Records sticker on the cover. The disc has the matrix # hand etched, rather than machine stamped into the deadwax. There is also a Nimbus England machine stamp, also in the deadwax. This and the Beatles 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, limited to 1000 pressings each.

sladesounds 29th Nov 2013		Other than some classical albums, I always thought that "Nimbus Records" did no more than master and press vinyl for other record companies rather than issue records like this under their own label name. However there is quite a bit about Nimbus on the web and a list here of the Beatles pressings. It seems other than the giveaway gold stamp on the sleeve, the dead wax is normally etched with the company name. Nimbus seems to be the label name to use very much like the Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab label we use for other specialist hi-fi releases. I also saw that a copy of this album sold for £310 earlier this year (details on popsike)

Orbiting Cat 29th Nov 2013		It's better not to create hybrid labels. Maybe choose a primary label such as Nimbus, and add the others to "Other Labels".



roboleyton 29th Nov 2013		Maybe it should be EMI/Nimbus, as after 1975 his albums appeared on Capitol/Parlophone/ and Columbia, but all with Parlophone cat No.'s. All references to Apple were removed from the label, and cover.



TopPopper 29th Nov 2013		Are you sure MPL has never been a label? I'm sure I've seen it as a joint label (Wings Greatest Hits, maybe? Or Pipes of Peace?).



JPGR&B SUBS 29th Nov 2013		Rob, an interesting addition to the database and a pressing I wasn't aware of. Not sure about the label credit though. MPL has never been a label; maybe just Nimbus. However it has the same catalogue number as the original Apple release so perhaps it should be Apple / Nimbus, given your Sgt Peppers entry is Parlophone / Nimbus. Thoughts?
