Another compilation album originating from Capitol Records in America. The album includes a twelve page full colour booklet featuring an article and photo selection from each film. The back cover of the booklet depicts sixteen film posters supplied by the Ron Furmanek archives, and also contains the Capitol Records logo and Capitol catalogue number for the US release, indicating that EMI Records imported the booklet from America for the British release. The printed inner sleeve of the album also features a selection of stills from the five films.

OldMod67 22nd Oct 2020		I didn't buy this back then (although I bought the Medley 7" ) as it seemed a bit unnecessary. However, regarding the chart position, or lack of, a comment on the Official Charts website left in 2019 stated that the album did indeed chart in 1982. Apparently it reached #56. The site has not been amended, can anyone out there confirm this? One (or more) members out there probably has a cupboard full of Music Week mags or similar, I bet....



TopPopper 13th Nov 2013		I think this was the low point of Beatles repackaging. Love Songs, Rock n Roll, 62-66 and so on had some sort of reasoning behind them, but this was a flimsy concept from the start.



zabadak 13th Nov 2013		I expect these two facts are linked... ;-) Who's up for an expanded 21st Anniversary box-set CD issue, with a TV promotion and interviews with Macca, Ringo (peace & love!), Dick Lester etc...?
