PhilMH 7th Jun 2019		I believe Chrysalis Records had the first barcodes on records and tapes in 1978, in the USA; the CBS Records group introduced them in 1979, MCA in 1982 (I think WEA did that year as well), and PolyGram in 1983, when CD's were introduced; PolyGram purchased Decca/London in 1980, and the barcode here is simply a sticker, attached in 1983 or so, to an earlier pressing.



Break-In Master 6th Jun 2019		I don't think bar codes existed for another 6 or 8 years.



RecordDragon 23rd Feb 2018		My pressing looks similar to images 931175 and 931176, however, lacks a barcode on the reverse cover, has the word 'stereo' underneath the SIDE ONE and SIDE TWO designations, has the date information to the left of the center hole underneath the CAT. number, matrix numbers are below the artist name at the 6 o'clock position and Tony Clarke's production credit does not appear on the labels. Lower perimeter wording is the same as on images 966782 and 966783. PRC plant code appears in the deadwax on both sides.
