The Beasts have developed their sound on this their second effort. More foreboding and much more powerful than their debut the band here are tight and aggressive. If the album has a chink in the armour it is possibly that about half the songs are really just heavy deconstructions of the blues. Nothing wrong with that though but their next album Black Milk had a lot more variety in the song composition department and eclipses this one because of that. Anyway, this 'ol shit is still a favourite of mine.
