23skidoo 3rd Aug 2014		Although credited to The Kingsmen (Bill Haley's Comets), there is now doubt that "It Should Have Been Me" was actually recorded by them. It might be Bill Moss. The group The Highlighters are confirmed as Bill Haley and the Comets, however, in an outtake from their Warner Bros sessions in 1960 (which was originally released on Arcade Records credited to The Highlights in 1964). Al Rex is a member of the Comets, as Chuck Hess was the guitarist for the Comets spin-off group The Jodimars. Several Comets can be seen in the songwriting credits for other songs, too.
