 According to the back liner notes on "Then Now And Inbetween" this was released November 1966.

 I can confirm that the US issues of Something Else and Village Green were in the record stores when I was in England in 1980. Both had been deleted there by Pye many years before. Arthur and Lola, however, were still available from Pye, though not in their original gatefold covers.

 Strangely (or maybe not, it didn't sell!) the label cut this Lp out before Jan 1968 (there are no copies on the W7 variation label) it was in the bargain bins for about a year.....and was not available until the CD era!...in a different twist, Reprise wisely kept the Something Else, Village Green..., Arthur and Lola Lps in print for a long while...John

 Thanks, BEATLEJOHN, for your recent submission of the first US Kinks albums. Re Face To Face: Isn't it absurd that, according to your note, this classic album, released just in Dec 1966, was already deleted from the Reprise catalog in 1967? I'm afraid it wasn't much better in the UK where you couldn't find new copies in the record stores in the mid-1970s (not to mention Continental Europe).
