TheDroid 3rd Sep 2020		With acknowledgement to checkm8, added cleaner and clearer front cover image. The band and title album are embossed on top of front, while the Reprise logo and catalog # are embossed on the bottom below song titles.

TheDroid 24th Feb 2016		With acknowledgement to checkm8, added cleaner and clearer front cover image. I am curious as to why the front cover scan I recently added would be hidden? It is much easier to read song titles as well as the embossed silver lettering.



checkm8 3rd Aug 2015		I'm thinking I bought the album with the grey cover about 1985. In the mid 80's I bought a number of albums to replace some of my worn out records that had not yet been issued on CD.



W.B.lbl 3rd Aug 2015		Because of the readability issues inherent in {Images #811770 & 811775}, the next batch of covers with the same silver foil bore the same type layout as {Image #811795} on the front and {Image #811794} on the back. The latter scans, B.T.W., were years after that when they ditched the foil and went with light grey. As for the labels, {Images #811783 & 811786} was first-issue Columbia with Santa Maria, CA type, whereas {Images #811796 & 811797} was pressed by Capitol with Los Angeles type. Ironically, Capitol's old record club had pressed earlier copies of this record, with the cat. #ST-93458, which doubtless would mean its own separate entry.



W.B.lbl 3rd Aug 2015		Once had a white-label promo of this LP.



checkm8 3rd Aug 2015		Added front cover (grey) and label images from a later pressing that has the Warner Communications Company rim text. The back cover is blank grey with no text on it.



checkm8 3rd Aug 2015		Added cover, label and album insert images. Although the cover is in poor condition, a cover in good condition would not scan much better. The artist name and album title are embossed (and not very readable in the scanned image) in three lines as follows: KENNY ROGERS & THE FIRST EDITION GREATEST HITS The Reprise Records logo is also embossed and is located in the center below the list of track titles.

carryonsidney 18th Jan 2015		peculiar album sleeve, plain grey cover with title and track listing on the front, blank on the back [except small line of text] has a card insert with track details [one sided]. The inner slv is an advert for "The Warner/ Reprise Loss Leaders". Compilations that were only available by mail order.
