I think dazz coote meant plum the deep red - purple colour. I guess we plumb got it wrong

so did you mean silvery, as of the colour of the freshly-exposed metal, e.g. upon its being cut; or mean dull grey, as of the colour it soon turns to - actually the colour of the oxide, litharge - or -?- ?

Haha, yes, a spelling lesson too. From the Greek plumbium = lead.
I should have said plumb (sic)

"plumb" = lead, the metal, and also means "true vertical" from the use of a plumb bob (lead weight) on the end of a line to determine the same by suspension in a gravity field, which meaning is also extended to "true, accurate" more generally. it is widely accepted to be a bad idea to ingest lead, whether by mouth or in the form of slugs projected at high velocity, and the metal does not retain its shiny, silvery surface very long in an oxygenated atmosphere.

dazz coote:I don't think this ever came out with any plumb colours in Australia. And the rarest Australian pressing of this is the MONO version. I think you are confused with the UK release.

The rarest of this lp is red & plumb not orange & plumb. Light brown gatefold sleeve
