I'm absolutely certain it's not a UK release. And I know Discogs doesn't have this release as I've already checked (not that this proves anything either way), though interestingly all of the SCSL prefixes that appear on that site are either Asian or unidentified origin. So in fact it would seem to support my hunch that this is also of Asian origin. I'm still erring on the Hong Kong side.
as a matter of fact, Stateside was an international label - covering at least 32 countries. This Easy Rider soundtrack does appear in the UK but on Stateside //Dunhill SSL 5018 - I have a copy somewhere.
nboldock: why wouldn't it be UK? Stateside is a UK label... Discogs doesn't have your actual release, but the SCSL prefix is listed on Discogs. What other country has the Stateside label??? it's a branch of the EMI label. Merely, because you got it in a pile of records in the Far East doesn't make it from there.
I can't determine the country of release for this one. I believe it is Far Eastern - possibly Hong Kong. I got it in a joblot with a number of other releases from the Far East, including Japan and Hong Kong (the HK pressing of "Deep Purple In Rock" which I've added to the site was in the same lot).
If anyone can confirm where this is from I'd love to know.
As far as I can tell Discogs doesn't have it listed and Google wasn't much help either... I'll get some scans up soon.
