| | The "CT" indicates the LP was pressed by Columbia Terre Haute, IN whereas the "MO" was pressed by Monarch Records, Los Angeles, CA. |

Looks a bit different above the ATCO field and at bottom the matr# finishing with CT instead of MO. |

| | Oh, RC, you have sobered up!(hope you haven't taken any more of them little potent purple pills) So that WAS JG on lead? Geez he sounded different than when he was hangin' round that Sugar Shack and pickin' daisy petals all day long! All those bottle of wine must've got to him, probably the reason why he was goin' away!(Just heard somethin' - ain't that rain?). |

| | That looks like rank home-brew wine. No wonder the group's called Fireballs. That's what they should have called the vino. |

| | I think Jimmy Gilmer was long gone from The Fireballs by the time they recorded Bottle Of Wine/Can't You See I'm Tryin' in 1967. I was in my first year of high school in 1968 when Bottle Of Wine started getting airplay here in Australia(we lagged behind Britain and America when it came to records from those countries appearing here). But there was no mention of Jimmy on the record back then. Just looking at the contents, disappointing to note Can't You See I'm Tryin' missing from the album. |

| | 45 Cat has a main database for The Fireballs with 116 45's listed in it with, several group name variations. When I added two LP's today with the names as credited on the album cover and labels to The Fireballs Featuring Jimmy Gilmer, the group got split into two. I like to see all of the names combined into a main database like has been done at 45 Cat. Can a moderator do this? Jimmy Gilmer apparently left the group after this album, and the label credits went back to using The Fireballs. |
