vinylsol 1st Nov 2014		Dr Doom, yeah, I've had the original since 1969 but never seen another NZ copy. I guess it would fetch arund $150-$200 at auction (not that I'm selling of course!).

I'd listed it as France because that's the country of manufacture on the label but on searching the 45worlds forum I now see that the country of release (in this case, the UK), is intended to be used as the listed release country, rather than where the record was actually made. I've put a correction request in the queue.



janiejjones 28th Oct 2014		This is definitely UK then. You stated all arguments for that yourself. See For Miles is a UK label, and wherever a disc is pressed or a cover printed, the decisive factor (normally) is where the label is located. By 1989 the label was targetting more than the UK market (by that time imports were no longer identified as massively as a couple of years previous), widely available in specialised German shops.



vinylsol 27th Oct 2014		This is a 1989 reissue of a 1969 psychedelic classic from the Birmingham quartet. The 'plus' in the title refers to the addition of the track 'Telstar 69', a 1969 single which had not been on the original album. In addition, the writing credit for 'Come Away Melinda' has been corrected. This was original 'Hellerman/Mindoff' and has been corrected to 'Hellerman/Minkoff' (Fran Minkoff wrote the lyrics to Fred Hellerman's music). John Peel's sleevenotes are retained (although the spelling of his name is normalised from 1969's credit of 'Johnn Peell') and there are additional sleevenotes by Dinnes Cruickshank. The record was pressed in France, presumably for sale in the UK. The sleeve says 'Made In England'.
