Thanks for the info. memphis martin. I picked up a stereo copy of this album just recently and had some difficulty in placing it as it had an orange label but was housed in the old style 1968 RCA Victor boxed logo sleeve.
But after looking at your uploads it turns out that I have the 1970 pressing with the large orange label housed in it's appropriate correct sleeve.
Once again, many thanks and keep up the good work.
Again, where do you start with this one?
Same mistakes were made by RCA on the stereo copy as was made on the mono version.
Original front sleeves mistakenly listed Never Ending instead of Love Letters. This was rectified on later copies (uploaded).
I've added the original 1968 RCA Victor "Red Dot" labels, followed by the 1969 "small orange", the 1970 "large orange" and the latter 1977 orange versions that only state "Side 1".
You can also see the 1977 German pressing that were housed in UK sleeves as stated above.
Later back sleeves in the seventies replaced "Printed in England S.P. Ltd" with "Printed in England by Senol Printing Limited".
All of the earlier back sleeves showed photographs advertising the other albums in the "Golden" series.
They all used the original catalogue numbers.
Later copies blacked out the catalogue numbers on the original sleeves so RCA could use the re-issued SF catalogue number.
This is quite ridiculous as the front sleeves for volumes 1 & 2 advertised, don't exist under the SF number. Other images were used (check SF 8129 and SF 8151.
