So glad we also recorded this in Abbey Road. In the Albert Hall version a certain SA official made sure my mic wasn't up in the mix and didn't want the song on the album. Sitting in the sound booth with the producers they told me he derided almost every note. However, an EMI producer told him, 'B......d,. If you don't have this track, you don't have an album. We walk out.' Those were the days! Love flows more readily toward us in retrospect "
In my opinion live or otherwise the track is not that well presented, the words demand a style of presentation that is beyond what Bill and others actually achieved at the time.
Does A1 out Beatle the Beatles ?
A3 Out Fly The Byrds ?
A5 Is somewhat reminding of The Kinks
B4 to the tune of 'House Of The Rising Sun'
B5 Is to the Tune of 'Normandy Carol'
