OK, my so-called research seems 2 be off by around a half year. My apologies. I was checking reviews and advertisements of several albums in Billboard Magazine that seemed 2 be from the March 1958 timeframe, such as Nat "King" Cole's 'Songs From "St. Louis Blues"', Nelson Riddle's "Sea of Dreams", The Capitol Symphony Orchestra's "La Belle France" and Les Baxter's "Ports of Pleasure" (under RECORDED TAPES/CAPITOL) - 06 January 1958 issue. I'm willing 2 accept that this sampler is probably closer 2 an August/September release. Sometimes I also use this listing of Capitol promo releases, which also suggest maybe an August 1958-ish release?!?

...Thanx W.B.lbl and annaloog 4 checking 4 me!! I'm still a work in progress... ☺

And no way this would have been in March; Big Band Stereo (SW-1055), for example, was ish'd 18 Aug 1958, as was The Stars In Stereo (SW-1062).

Ah, "Tri-Fi Drums." Later known as the closing theme for Dan Ingram's popular PM drive radio show on WABC Musicradio 77 in New York.
