I have this double album set. It is definitely the best sounding recordings of the original Glenn Miller orchestra, as was explained in the jacket notes that the film studio used different techniques to record the band as opposed to the Bluebird and Victor recordings. I'd like to know exactly what that technique entailed, because I thought that Photophone wasn't all that silent, nor had the frequency range, or sonic capabilities....
