| | Just thinking of the rate at which The Beach Boys had to produce records for Capitol in the early 60's, its amazing to realise this release came out only 3 weeks after the Surfer Girl album. I think it's 11 albums in 5 and a half 1/2 years, before Pet Sounds. |

| | Also confusing is having both High Fidelity and Full Dimensional Stereo on the front cover! |

| | Added labels from my copy of the album. Notice that my two sides don't have the same font or sizes. Unusual and confusing. |

| | SORRY Droid not my intention to be obtuse. my error anyway it should be 489266 cover litho in USA is typed sideways along side the Capitol dome logo. I'm a little late in responding but it states T 1998 instead of the St 1998 along the side of the Litho'd in USA |

| | I always wondered what would happen all beach boys releases be like outside of Canada and the usa we would give them the same treatment in reverse how America issued beatles albums in their territory now that be something to see |

| | Hi, Droid. On school reunions, they do occasionally happen but it's not really the done thing in Australia(and no, I've never been to one myself). As for the hype and bullshit, I was referring to this habit of using terms like Freshman(first year student) and Sophomore(second year student). These clearly are pretentious bullshit terms, at least they are to Aussie ears! We simply called ourselves first year, or second year students! |

| | Neil, thanks for your attempt! I understood about the single version comment regarding Be True To Your School but got lost on his "Missing tracks A4 and B6" portion?? As for the "Litho'd" commentary, I couldn't find any reference to a 39266 in any of the images. What is the point in making an indecipherable comment for the rest of us!?
And I cracked up regarding your opinion on school. Do you not have school reunions to get together with old mates and catch up? Never thought of our schools and as "hype and bullshit", but what the heck, I may have to reconsider (LOL). |

Neil Forbes 15th Mar 2015
| | I think I might be able to decipher the comments here, Droid! The 39266(assuming the catalogue number is a special series - guess) Stereo LP cover has the words Litho'd(meaning Lithographed, a method of printing) along the side(of the cover), just below the "Dome" in the Capitol trademark. That's as best as I can decipher Tokenhippie's comment, and for Record Dragon's comment(almost a year ago), He was referring to the track "Be True To Your School"(sentiments I, as an Australian, consider ridiculous*) as being an album version with extra sound effects(cheerleaders) added to the mix.
*I regard the sentiments as ridiculous as school was somewhere you had to be from the age of 5 to at least 15, by law. for that reason we in Australia never held our schools, primary or secondary, in any kind of esteem. We didn't go in for all the American hype and bullshit. |

| | Man! I need a translator for these. What the heck does comment #1 (39266 Stereo...) and the most recent (Track A3...) mean? |
|
|
|
RecordDragon 3rd May 2014
| | Track A3 is not the single version with the cheerleaders. I have the abridged green label reissue in stereo. Missing tracks A4 and B6. |
