Often if they have run out of the specially made promo copies, they will take a stock copy and mark it in some way to inhibit sales. On cutouts, one other difference is there is no return policy. Meaning the stores and/or distributors cannot return the product for any credit.

gregs45s SUBS 11th Sep 2013		Just out of interest,American albums with either:a corner cut off,a punch hole,or a notch (cd's),is this to indicate that it's for export?.Only this particular album must have been done at the place where they make the sleeves,because the inner sleeves(which look to belong) stick out,like a handkerchief in a top pocket (if you see what i mean),which surely must have pre-dated the insertion of the records?.
