Long time DJ (40 years) Dad was a DJ in the 50's. His friends were in radio and the record business who handed out 45's like candy. Neighbor had a lucrative juke box route. Surrounded by records as a kid. Started accumulating (collecting) in 1959. My main area of expertise is 78 rpms, I've hosted a radio program the last 40 years dealing with vintage jazz, swing, western swing and some pre-war blues thrown in for good measure. I play only shellac on the show, outside of a few air shots. Eventually plan on submitting 78 rpm entries. Gotta get through these 45's first

DeweyGill SUBS 9th Apr 2024		Vinyl Album The Viscounts - Harlem Nocturne	One track added- “Opus 1”. This was not on the Madison LP. “Sophisticated Lady” substitutes “Night Train” on side two which is omitted on this release. My copy is stereo, it uses the mono cover with a large “stereo“ sticker attached to the front cover.
DeweyGill SUBS 14th Nov 2023		Vinyl Album Various Artists - 45 Rockin' Rollers	One has to wonder the origins of this comp and the licensing of these songs. My copy is on flimsy ‘70’s vinyl and for the most part sounds muffled and reprocessed. The odd duck here is the inclusion of the Turtles cut, probably included after White Whale Records folded in 1971. I thought Flo and Eddie had ownership of their material. Since the original Vee Jay was dissolved in 1966, this must be the Vee Jay International years
